I have tried reinstalling repair toolbox and tried the portable version with the same result. Instead I get a pop up that says "For security reasons DTD is prohibited in this XML document.". When I try to open windows repair toolbox now I can not use any of the utilites. Webpages can take up to 20 secs to load when it used to be instant. Things were loading slower, when dragging a window it moves extremely slow. This seemed to fix every issue but something still seemed a bit off. I ran RKill first, Junkware removal tool, Rougekiller, then installed malwarebytes and ran that.
I saw cmd flash up then close multiple times. Adware was installed including a process called Ping that would play audio advertisements would show back up in processes after killing it. Multiple garbage applications were installed. I ran scans on it just to make sure and everything came back ok. A couple of days ago I downloaded an installer for a program that looked credible. An incomplete uninstallation of a program may cause problems, which is why thorough removal of programs is recommended.I am very beginner level when it comes to removing malware off of computers, I had some (mostly somebody showing me how) experience when I was working at a computer shop but nothing really in depth. There could be other causes why users may not be able to uninstall MAGIX Music Maker. Another process is preventing the program from being uninstalled.Due to an error, not all of the files were successfully uninstalled.A file required for the uninstallation to complete could not be run.The program’s built-in uninstaller does not start or does not operate properly.Possible problems that can arise during uninstallation of MAGIX Music Maker Removing process running for a long time and does not come to the end. Some traces of the program can still can be found on the computer. After removing the program, some of its related processes still run on the computer. The program is not listed in the Windows Settings or Control Panel. The program is regarded by the user and/or some websites as a potentially malicious. The program is being re-installed (uninstalled and installed again afterwards). The program is not as good as the user expected.
